Lucea is the work of Lucie Knight, a jewellery artist and fine jeweller based in Essex, UK. Each piece is created in her studio using traditional techniques, solid silver and solid gold only. No plating. No shortcuts. Only materials worthy of permanence.
At the heart of Lucea lies a commitment to enduring jewellery. Pieces that hold meaning. Pieces that mark something. Pieces that remain.
The Craft
Many Lucea designs begin in wax.
Using the traditional process of lost wax casting, Lucie sculpts each form by hand. Building in wax allows for organic movement, sculptural silhouettes and textures that cannot be replicated by machine. Every curve, every surface, every subtle irregularity carries the imprint of the hand that formed it.
Alongside casting, Lucie works with fabrication techniques, hand forming and constructing each piece with care. She is currently completing a Diploma in Fine Jewellery, refining both her technical mastery and creative direction.
Each piece is one of a kind. Not because it sounds romantic, but because it truly is.

The Stones
Gemstones sit at the centre of Lucea jewellery.
Lucie personally selects every stone, drawn to unusual cuts, rare colours and pieces that feel quietly powerful. Natural sapphires, rubies, garnets, aquamarines and tourmalines sit alongside carefully chosen moissanites.
Moissanite is embraced as a conscious modern alternative, loved for its extraordinary fire and brilliance. It offers beauty without compromise and sparkle with integrity. When it catches the light, it speaks for itself.
Each stone is chosen not only for appearance, but for presence.
The Evolution
Lucea began at the bench of a self taught silversmith and gradually transformed into a refined practice devoted to sculptural fine jewellery.
What started as artisan work slowly revealed a deeper pull. A growing fascination with gemstones. A desire for stronger settings. A commitment to pieces that feel weightier, more intentional and designed to endure.
Through independent study, stone setting courses and formal training in fine jewellery, Lucie refined her voice and direction. She realised she was not simply making jewellery. She was creating pieces to mark becoming.
Today, Lucea stands for strength, self celebration, transformation and love in all its forms. Engagement. Milestones. New chapters. Quiet victories. Private promises.

Lucie offers bespoke commissions and engagement rings, working closely with clients to create deeply personal pieces in solid gold or silver.
Every commission begins with a conversation and ends with a piece designed to be worn for a lifetime and passed on if you wish.
