At Lucea Jewellery, every bespoke piece is individually crafted by hand using traditional jewellery making techniques. Some designs begin as precious metal sheet and wire, while others are hand sculpted in wax using the ancient art of lost wax casting before being transformed into precious metal. Regardless of the method, each piece is thoughtfully created from start to finish and made exclusively for you.
Frequently asked questions
Bespoke pieces start from £250 for sterling silver and £1000 for gold. Every piece is individually designed, so the final price depends on the metal, gemstones, size and complexity. We will discuss your budget from the beginning so I can guide you towards the right options.
Most bespoke pieces take approximately 6-8 weeks to create once the design has been approved and the deposit has been received. Some commissions may take longer depending on the complexity of the design, gemstones sourcing or material required. We will discuss the expected timeframe before you commission your piece.
Absolutely. You can upload inspiration images, sketches or photographs with your enquiry. These can be a wonderful starting point and help me understand your style and what you’re drawn to.
Once your design and quotation have been approved, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required before work begins. The remaining 50% is due before your finished piece is dispatched or collected.
As bespoke jewellery is individually designed and made specifically for you, bespoke pieces cannot be returned or exchanged. I’ll work closely with you throughout the design process and provide details for your approval before your piece is created, so we can make sure everything feels right before works begin.
Your Bespoke Journey
Initial Consultation
Our journey begins with a conversation. We will discuss your ideas, inspirations, preferred style, gemstones, precious metals, or simply feeling you would like your piece to capture.
Your budget is part of this first conversation too. Knowing what you would like to invest allows me to guide you towards suitable metal, gemstones and design possibilities from the very rather than designing something that falls outside your expectations.
Design & Gemstone Selection
Following our consultation, I will create a bespoke design tailored specifically to you. Together we will explore gemstone options, metal choices, proportions, and design details until every element feels just right.
Quotation
Once the design has been finalised, I will provide a quotation for your approval.
As precious metal prices can fluctuate, quotations are valid for 14 days from the date they are issued. Should you wish to proceed after this period, the quotation may need to be revised to reflect current material costs.
Deposit & Creation
Once the design and quotation have been approved, a 50% non-refundable deposit secures your commision and I can begin creating your piece.
This deposit covers the sourcing of gemstones and materials, and allows me to dedicate workshop time to creating your piece.
As all bespoke jewellery is created specifically for you and cannot be resold, the deposit is non-refundable once work has commenced.
Throughout the creation process, I will keep you informed with carefully selected progress updates, allowing you to follow your piece as it comes to life.
The Finishing touch
When your piece is complete, I will share photographs of the finished piece before remaining 50% balance is due.
Once payment is complete, your new piece will be carefully packaged and securely dispatched or prepared for collection.
